I wake up each morning and think what do I feel like today and I dress to suit my mood which is a way of expressing who I am at that particular moment. I am not afraid to step outside of my comfort zone; this can be a time when you create your best looks. PROFESSION: Designer and Buyer for Isakelle and basically all things Isakelle MY FAVORITE FOOTWEAR: This is the same as picking one favourite handbag; I just don’t think it is possible. I love my Chloe Sandals that I wore on my wedding day, Stewart Weitzman stilettos (the most comfortable heels I own), Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Mary Janes, my tan Steve Madden oxford ankle boots, Sperry Top Siders and any one of my Nike sneakers. MY FAIL-SAFE PIECES: Sabatini Leather Jacket, Isakelle Blazer – I have many and they always work every year. Isakelle Coat – you just never know when you need one and once you own a good one it is always used. Isakelle Dress – every tailored isakelle dress that I have works season in season out, I recently added an Isakelle Gold Phoebe Dress to my collection and it will be in my wardrobe for years. Blank Denim - they are so comfy! My Grans Blouses – they have the prettiest embroidered collars on them, teamed underneath a jumper, cardi or blazer and you are polished ready to go. STYLE RÉSUMÉ - Katie Skelton DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE: My style is effortlessly classic chic. I tend to have a favourite piece in my wardrobe that I wear constantly until I find a new love. I am all about comfort and I love teaming a vintage top or oversized cardi back with my jeans. PROFESSION: Isakelle Retail Manager and Assistant Buyer MY FAVOURITE SABEN:Quinn, Tilly MY FAVORITE FOOTWEAR: Oxfords and Ankle Boots MY FAIL-SAFE PIECES: A well cut pair of skinny jeans, an oversized shirt or tee, my Sabatini black leather jacket or an Isakelle Blazer and a piece of statement jewellery; you can always create a contrast with these pieces. SWOONING OVER: Favourite Saben handbag?
Kelle: How can you pick one favourite when you have many for different occasions!
Black Marley with brass studs; I have thrashed this bag, it is perfect for work, it fits so much in it and is so user friendly I have not lost my car keys inside this bag.
Chloe Tan: exactly the same as my Marley, lots of room, no lost keys and user friendly. I need it for all my navy outfits.Gala and Florence Clutch: my special occasion pieces and they actually fit a decent amount of items in them for the evening.Quinn in Black: soon to be my new favourite, every time I see my sister with hers I get bag envy. I will possibly lose my car keys in this bag but the hand woven detail down the front is worth it.Katie: Quinn in Black is my current favourite. I love the way she sits on my arm, the leather is so soft and folds into itself, not to mention the beautiful weave detailing on the front. It’s big enough to fit everything I need. The perfect go to bag for every day. What items do you ALWAYS carry in your bag? Kelle: Saben Evie: containing extra cards or sunglasses, Saben Hero Wallet which has taken the place of my Saben Caroline, iPhone, Chanel Inimitable Mascara, my lippy for the day, Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, Hair Comb, Bobby Pins, Needle and Thread and a few random pens. If I have my larger sized handbag I always have my makeup bag (containing basically everything) & perfume. Katie: Tilly – this is a must in anyone’s hand bag. It fits all my cards, receipts, cash, coins, phone and anything else needed. My diary or notebook, I love jotting down things that I discover on my travels, whether it be a quote in a book I’m browsing through or a new label I want to look at. My Chloe sunglasses, a pouch with all my necessities including a pocket mirror that one of my customers gave me, pawpaw cream, mac peach stock lipstick and mac plush glass gloss, bobby pins, hair ties, a pen…. And the list goes on. Kelle, tell us what we can expect from your winter collection? There is a lot of beautifully tailored Isakelle styles; jackets, pants, dresses. Pieces that you will keep in your wardrobe for years, very classic with that touch of designer detail to give it an edge. And you make the buying decisions together… how is it working with your sister? Kelle: It is so much fun, when you love what you do and who you do it with especially if it is with your friend/sister, how can you call it work! Although we had our moments in the beginning we soon found our groove together and we make such a great team. We have no problem being very honest with each other and that is great because you end up with items in store that you both love and hopefully everyone else does too. Katie: I love working with Kelle, we are very honest with each other and drive one another creatively. We’re complimentary in the sense that I work closely with customers, and Kelle loves working on the business/design side, so our respected roles suit us well. She is my best friend so spending all day every day with each other is an added bonus!
